Our team is one-of-a-kind. Our staff is well-qualified, well-trained and sensitive to the issues of our patients.
Betty possesses over 25 years of serving in the mental health and chemical abuse field as a clinician/therapist in hospital and community mental health centers. She’s a proud alumnus of the University of Memphis, where she received a master’s of science degree in Counseling, Psychology and Education. She’s driven by her desire, dedication, and commitment to help individuals afflicted with mental illness and alcohol/substance abuse in our community adopt a different mindset; a capacity to change perspective.
She truly has a humanitarian spirit that’s genuine, warm, and heartfelt. Her unbelievable compassion translates and is overwhelmingly well received by past and future clients. The community recognizes her advocacy role to help all who are victimized by mental illness and alcohol/substance abuse disorders. She understands the barriers clients face on a day to day basis, which is why she has risen to the culminating point of generating easily, accessible mental health/chemical dependency services for those in dire need and have a strong desire to truly make a difference in their lives.
I have worked with individuals who have mental health illness, chronic addictive disorders, and HIV as a case manager since 1994. It has been my passion and desire to hopefully help make a difference in the lives of individuals with these different circumstances and other life challenges. I hope to continue the vision and mission of M.A.D., Inc. in doing what I love to do and help empower individuals to help themselves have a better quality of life. My job is to link our clients to significant resources they would not otherwise realize exist. The resources play an intricate role in terms of providing the necessary supports needed for them to recover from their primary issues of battling both mental illness and alcohol or drugs.
